I am
DELIGHTED
to be able to announce my newest booklet: Armenian Interlacing is now available. The project is a set of two padded hangers, large enough to include samples of all the patterns I have discovered. Complete instructions, for this complex form of interweaving are included, along with 20 line drawings of different patterns.
I will be issuing the new material on the Nordic Needle website, where I will be featured in their upcoming Designers Showcase. If you are interested in reading a little more about me, and my opinions regarding contemporary needlework, please sign up for their email newsletters.
My second announcement with regard to Nordic Needle is that all of my booklets are now available as downloadable files through their web site. I believe that these files, at a reduced cost, reflect the preference of many younger needleworkers. The files are available immediately, and when downloaded, are easily searchable for specific content of interest.
And now, at the request of a friend, I have begun researching Czechslovakian embroidery. I have fallen in love with the bright cheerful colors in the native costumes (Kroju), emphasized by the full sleeves ending in large bands of white-on-white embroidery. Wish me well!
